About Our Palm Beach Resort

Royal Palm Resort is a 25-storey beachfront apartment resort at 973 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, run by an on-site team as part of the Coast Breakz group. We let seven apartment types, from two bedrooms up to a four-bedroom oceanview, and we suit families and groups who need a whole apartment, not a hotel room.

We sit on the sand at the southern end of the Gold Coast, on the corner of Laceys Lane and the Gold Coast Highway. The beach is straight out the back with no road to cross, the TransLink bus stops within fifty metres of the front door, and Gold Coast Airport is about ten minutes away by car. Coles is about a ten-minute walk, which matters more than it sounds when you are stocking a kitchen for a week.

The apartments here are individually owned, which is the most useful thing to know before you book. Each owner furnishes and updates their own apartment, so standards vary from one to the next inside the same building. Rather than pretend otherwise, we sell our two-bedroom apartments in four named tiers so you can choose the level you want: Standard in original condition, Deluxe partially refurbished, Superior fully refurbished with a renovated kitchen and both bathrooms, and Premier, our newest fully refurbished apartments.

Refurbishments here happen apartment by apartment rather than all at once, and they are still going. The parts of the resort we share have had their own run of works: the pool and pool surrounds, the driveway, the reception area and the hallways outside the lifts have all been redone, which is what returning guests notice first.

Around the apartments sits the reason most families choose us over a hotel room. There is a 33-metre heated lagoon pool with a waterfall and a waterslide, a floodlit full-size tennis court and a half court, a heated open-air spa, a steam room, a gym, mini putt, a games room and four barbecues. Every apartment has at least two bathrooms, a full kitchen and its own washer and dryer.

We are built for families with children in tow, multi-generation groups who need four bedrooms behind one front door, and long-stay guests who come back the same fortnight every year. If you want nightlife downstairs and a room serviced daily, Surfers Paradise will suit you better. If what you want is the sand, the pool and a kitchen of your own, you are the reason this place exists.
